Who’s the 4-Hour Guru?

I first read The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss in the fall of 2007. The experience was transformative. I had been exposed to most of the ideas presented in the book over my years as an entrepreneur, but no one had presented them in a way that had me believe that I could really get to a 4-hour workweek myself. I began to share the book with everyone I knew.

To keep the energy of the book alive in my community, immediately after finishing the book I started a 4-Hour Academy Group on LinkedIn and invited every one of my connections to join the group. I shared my insights over the following year with the group via email. In October of 2008 I decided to move the group onto a blog and open it to anyone, not just people on LinkedIn.

I’ve loved using computers since I was a kid (the mid-70s) and have been engaging with others online since the mid-80s. When the internet took off in the mid-90s, I was in the thick of things and was totally in my element. I had seen others make fortunes onine, but had never had the ins and outs presented so compellingly. I was ready to rock the world. Since I love to share all the great things I discover with those in my life, my friends and associates soon learned all about my 4-Hour epiphanies.

I began to accumulate the collected wisdom of the online gurus around me in every area covered in The 4-Hour Workweek, and lots more. We quickly decided to share this compilation with others through The 4-Hour Academy. We have tested our content and processes on our willing test subjects and we are very pleased with the results.

The processes, strategies and techniques will be shared on this site with the world. We believe that this is the only place that all of this information can be obtained on one site. We have tested all of our content on ourselves and each other prior to presenting it to you, so that we all know that it works.
